I attended Webster University from 2010 to 2014 and got my BA in Film Production. During that time I worked on my first jobs as an electrician and grip on feature films and commercials.

After college, I joined IATSE 493 as a Studio Mechanic specializing in grip and electric. For a few years I split my time as a Videographer and Gaffer, but by 2019 I was working primarily as a Gaffer, traveling all over the country, while being based in St. Louis.

What People Are Saying

Sean is a pleasure to work with. He works hard to get the needed results, and can adapt and think outside the box to get there, all while having a positive, uplifting attitude. He’s been a rock that I could lean on in tough spots and tricky situations. It’s always great to see his name on the call sheet.

Sean is one of those rare gems that makes both DPs and Producers ecstatic to have on set. He is a problem solver with the eyes and soul of an artist.

Communication is everything when it comes to a DP/Gaffer relationship. I’ll walk onto set with full confidence knowing Sean is my gaffer. He’s a practical thinker when it comes to lighting and rigging a scene.

Sean is a true asset to any production team. Any and every position I place him in, he excels at. He’s an excellent DP as well as a phenomenal Gaffer. I highly recommend this kind and thoughtful team player.
